Destined for Greatness pairs children ages 3–18 with caring mentors, walks alongside families and shows up for our neighborhood through outreach, workshops and community giveaways. Every child deserves someone in their corner — join us.
We host monthly events and age-appropriate breakout sessions designed to promote awareness and elevate self-esteem — thoughtfully pairing children with adult volunteers whose backgrounds and perspectives align to spark productive, lasting mentorships.
We are not income-based. The only requirement is to be a youth in the community or a community member. We run solely on donations from neighbors and partners who believe every child is destined for greatness.
Rooted in belief that every child has greatness inside them.
Built by neighbors, for neighbors — grassroots to the core.
Age-appropriate care and programming for every stage.
100% supported by the generosity of our community.

Destined for Greatness Mentoring and Outreach Program (DFG) is a Baltimore-based nonprofit created to fill a real, felt gap — supportive programs for youth ages 3 to 18 and the families who love them.
We're not a big-box charity. We're neighbors, mentors and volunteers who host monthly events, run breakout sessions built for each age group and connect families to the resources they need — from a listening ear to leadership workshops to a hand-picked mentor who truly sees them.
From one-on-one mentorship to community-wide giveaways, every program is built to meet youth and families exactly where they are.
Thoughtfully paired mentor-mentee relationships built on trust, shared perspective and consistent presence.
Guidance and tools that help families communicate, heal and grow stronger together.
Peer-based sessions for self-development, confidence and leadership among youth.
Age-appropriate workshops that raise up the next generation of community leaders.
Practical tools for everyday life — communication, decision-making, goal setting and more.
Sessions designed to promote awareness, self-esteem and personal responsibility.
Seasonal drives and events that put resources directly into the hands of neighbors.
Bridging youth and families to trusted resources across every area of need.
We host community giveaways and drives to be a real, dependable resource in the neighborhood — and we build the softer things too: self-growth, leadership, healthy family communication and one-on-one relationships that don't disappear when the program ends.

"Every child deserves someone who believes in them."
— DFG Mission

Director & Lead Mentor, Destined for Greatness
My specialty has always been working with youth and community outreach. That love deepened when I served new mothers and young children through the health department, and it kept growing from there.
From CPS and social services as a teenager, to case management, to years as a one-to-one and teacher assistant at a Maryland alternative school — everyone said I had a sparkle in my eye. I truly believe my calling is to serve children.
My specialty is mentoring and nurturing youth, giving back to the community, event planning and being of service — especially to children and senior citizens. What sets me apart is my heart. Seeing others happy is my reward.
A dedicated group of leaders, mentors and community champions who make DFG possible.
